Overview

We\'re hiring for the Depot People Admin & Finance Specialist role at Evri in Bury St Edmunds. Evri is a leading parcel business in the UK. This is a great time to join us as we grow year on year with ambitious plans. You will be the heart of our depot\'s financial, and people processes, reporting to the Depot General Manager, helping manage budgets, monitor costs, support recruitment, and ensure admin and HR systems run smoothly.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Depot General Manager to manage budgets and identify ways to save money without compromising on quality
  • Keep a close eye on depot costs and trends to spot opportunities and potential risks
  • Make sure purchase orders are raised on time and within budget
  • Manage admin, finance, and HR processes, including training colleagues on new systems
  • Be the expert on reporting tools and HR platforms such as Flash, EVRi, UKG, and MyHR
  • Support our people through pay queries, absence reviews, and recruitment follow-ups
  • Champion local communications to keep the whole team informed and engaged
  • Opportunities to grow and develop your skills
  • Flexible approach to work and respect for work-life balance
Qualifications
  • Some financial or bookkeeping experience (formal qualifications are a bonus but not essential)
  • Strong analytical skills with a good eye for detail
  • Confident with IT—especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience working in a busy team environment
  • Good communication and people skills; approachable and professional
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
