Based in Silverstone and backed by General Motors, we’re building a cutting-edge race team from the ground up—and you have the chance to join at the very beginning.

Role Overview

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and technically minded ADM (Advanced Digital Manufacturing) Apprentice to join our Aerodynamics Department. In this role, you’ll support the design and production of 3D printed components for our wind tunnel model programme, gaining hands-on experience with some of the most advanced additive manufacturing technology used in F1.

Key Responsibilities

· Learn to operate and maintain industrial 3D printers (SLA, SLS, FDM, etc.) used to create precision wind tunnel components.

· Prepare and process CAD files for additive manufacture, including part orientation, support generation, and slicing.

· Post-process printed parts (cleaning, curing, surface finishing) to meet aerodynamic testing standards.

· Collaborate with designers and model makers to ensure high-quality output and timely delivery.

· Support the development of new materials, print settings, and process improvements.

· Contribute to the team’s quality control, traceability, and documentation practices.

Training & Development

The apprenticeship is delivered in partnership with Milton Keynes College.

· Build core knowledge of additive manufacturing principles, CAD, and digital workflows.

· Develop technical skills in operating and maintaining AM equipment.

· Understand design for additive manufacturing (DFAM) and its role in F1.

· Receive one-on-one mentoring from experienced ADM engineers.

· Apply your training directly to real-world F1 projects in a high-performance environment.

Qualifications & Skills

· Minimum of 5 GCSEs (grade 4/C or above), including Maths, English, and a science subject.

· A keen interest in engineering, digital manufacturing, or 3D printing.

· Basic CAD skills (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or NX) are an advantage.

· Strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

· Enthusiastic, curious, and eager to contribute to a team-based, high-pressure environment.

Apprenticeship Level

This apprenticeship is available at both Level 3 and Level 4, depending on the successful applicant's qualifications.

Level 3 Apprenticeship

· Equivalent to A-levels.

· Typically requires 5 GCSE passes (grades 4/C or above) or completion of a Level 2qualification or apprenticeship.

· Focuses on building foundational skills and knowledge in the field.

Level 4 Apprenticeship

· Equivalent to a Higher National Certificate (HNC), Higher National Diploma (HND), or the first year of an undergraduate degree.

· Generally, requires completion of a Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.

· Involves more advanced training and responsibilities, preparing apprentices for higher-level roles.

Why Join Cadillac Formula 1 Team?

· Be part of a pioneering new F1 team using advanced technology from day one.

· Train with cutting-edge additive manufacturing systems and workflows.

· Gain a nationally recognised qualification with a trusted education partner.

· Work alongside top-level engineers and technical staff.
