Job summary

Widener University’s Dwyer School of Nursing invites applications for the position of adjunct Clinical Instructor for Medical-Surgical Nursing. The role is to teach in the undergraduate program at a clinical site with 8 students, focusing on pediatric care, and requires availability for one shift per week for the semester.

The instructor will participate in pre/post conferences, plan instructional activities, and provide weekly feedback and final evaluations, while upholding Widener’s commitment

Qualifications

• MSN or MSN with nursing major; or enrolled in MSN with completion within 5 years.
• BSN acceptable if currently enrolled in MSN; completion within 5 years.
• Clinical experience required.
• RN licensure in PA; NJ/DE multistate license if site requires.
• Minimum 3 years’ clinical experience.
• Background checks and clinical requirements completed before starting.

Responsibilities

• Complete facility orientation before clinical start.
• Complete health requirements in Exxat.
• Create patient assignments before clinical day.
• Supervise students in care of patients/clients.
• Review and provide feedback for all written clinical assignments.
