The Humanities and Arts Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is regularly seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teachin its Music Program.The Music faculty participate in a vibrant music technology program and oversee a diverse assortment of choral groups; jazz, string, and brass ensembles; and concert and stage bands. In addition, faculty teach introductory courses,intermediate thematic surveys,advancedtopic seminars, and capstone practicums in music theory and history, audio arts, music technology, as well as composition, arrangement, and performance.
We are looking for outstanding artists/scholars, but successful candidates mustalsodemonstrate teaching excellence and versatility as well as an abilityto jumpintoanexisting curriculum with creative and critical pedagogical approaches.A successful candidate should hold a Doctorate in music (PhD, DMA, DMus, etc.).
