Job summary

Dallas College is seeking an adjunct instructor to provide non-credit instruction in the 911 Dispatcher Program. The candidate must hold a TCOLE Basic Instructor License and bring relevant industry experience to the classroom.

All positions are on-site, with potential for a hybrid arrangement after six months depending on job needs and college policy. The role requires on-campus presence for Academic (Faculty) duties and teaching online classes where applicable.

Qualifications

• Current TCOLE Basic Instructor License (mandatory).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students and staff in a teaching environment.
• Demonstrated success in training or mentoring within emergency communications or law enforcement.
• Ability to provide quality customer service and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction for 911 Dispatcher courses aligned with TCOLE standards.
• Provide course syllabi including institutional requirements, grading policy, attendance, and resource materials.
• Maintain accurate records for grades and attendance.
• Submit required documentation and evaluations per institutional and TCOLE guidelines.
• Complete Dallas College professional development training hours annually.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
