Job summary

ICON plc is seeking an Adjudication Project Manager to join the Full Service Independent DMC and Endpoint Adjudication (IDEA) team in Reading, UK. You will manage endpoint adjudication processes for a clinical trial and work with internal and external teams to ensure timelines and budgets are met.

You will lead project activities, attend client meetings, and oversee documentation, testing and QC to deliver high-quality adjudication outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or healthcare field.
  • 2 years of project management experience in clinical research, ideally in Adjudication or Study Management.
  • Proficient in English – written and verbal.
  • Experience with budget management and meeting timelines.
  • Endpoint adjudication experience (client-facing) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project(s) in a timely manner in accordance with ICON SOPs, ICH-GCP and regulations.
  • Deliver projects per contract, timelines and study budget.
  • Identify out of scope activities and initiate budget changes and amendments.
  • Perform project finance reporting activities.
  • Attend and present at Investigator Meetings and client meetings.
  • Perform user acceptance testing of the endpoint adjudication system.
  • Ensure study training is provided to improve performance.
  • Develop and maintain trial documentation (Charter, Procedures, Site Manual, Adjudication Forms, Communications Plan, System Specs).
  • Serve as primary study contact for client and internal/external teams.
  • Lead the internal DMC and endpoint adjudication processing team.
  • Develop and monitor adjudication workflows to maintain efficiency.
  • Prepare and distribute project reports to the study team.
  • Implement Quality Control measures for adjudication processes.

Adjudication Project Manager to join ICON’s Full Service Independent DMC and Endpoint Adjudication (IDEA) team. The Adjudication Project Manager is primarily responsible for managing all endpoint adjudication processes for a clinical trial.

We are looking for 2 x Adjudication Project Managers to join ICON’s Full Service Independent DMC and Endpoint Adjudication (IDEA) team. The Adjudication Project Manager is primarily responsible for managing all endpoint adjudication processes for a clinical trial.

What you will be doing:
  • Manage project(s) in a timely manner in adherence with ICON's SOP's, ICH-GCP, and appropriate regulations

  • Deliver projects in accordance with the contract, timelines, and study budget

  • Identifiy out of scope activities and initiates budget change orders and contract amendments

  • Perform project finance reporting activities

  • Attend and present at Investigator Meetings, Client Kick-Off Meetings, and other client meetings

  • Perform user acceptance testing of electronic endpoint adjudication system

  • Ensure all necessary study specific training is provided to study team to improve performance and knowledge

  • Develop and maintain all trial documentation (i.e. Charter, Procedure Manual, Site Manual, Adjudication Forms, Communication Plan, System Requirement Specifications, Data Transfer Specifications, and Committee Training Manual)

  • Serve as the primary study contact for client and internal and external study teams

  • Lead internal DMC and endpoint adjudication processing team

  • Develop and monitors DMC and endpoint adjudication processing workflows to maintain efficiency

  • Facilitate the development of project reports and distributes reports to the study team

  • Implement Quality Control measures for adjudication process and adjudication outcomes as necessary

Your Profile:

You will have a strong foundation in project management, with the experience to work independently and guide others.

Required qualifications and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or healthcare related field

  • 2 years of project management experience in clinical research ideally in Adjudication, Clinical Trial Project Management or Study Management

  • Proficient in English - written and verbal

  • Experience of responsibility for budget management and timelines.

  • Endpoint adjudication experience preferred - in a client facing role.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize efficiently
