Do you have a background in Science & Engineering and are looking for an exciting new opportunity to join a friendly team? Permabond is a leading innovator of adhesives, spanning a wide variety of industrial markets, including aerospace, automotive, medical and electronics to name a few. The role of Adhesives Application Specialist is varied, including lab work, supporting sales engineers, answering technical enquiries and assisting with customer projects - no two days are the same! Responsibilities

• Provide extensive technical support and backup to UK & European sales team, distributors and customers by phone, email, conference call etc.
• Attend site visits with sales engineers to assist with technical projects
• Preparing testing programs and implementing them in the lab
• Writing technical reports
• Support marketing activities e.g. manning exhibition stands, assist with the writing of technical articles for use by marketing
• Hosting webinars and training sessions with customers and distributors
• Collection of technical data and preparation of technical datasheets
• QC coverage during holidays
• Investigating product quality complaints

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a science subject
• Experience in a technical / engineering role (preferably within the adhesives, coatings, sealants, paints or lubricants industry)
• Some customer-facing experience
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to travel overseas for occasional customer visits and exhibitions
• Full driving licence
