Additive Manufacturing Applications Engineer

We are currently recruiting an Additive Manufacturing Sales/ Applications Engineer to join an industry leading business involved in support of machine tool systems around the globe.

The successful candidate will act as the bridge between customers and the engineering teams, using customer input and sales information to provide the correct system design, develop, evaluate and implement the correct additive manufacturing technology.

Interested candidates will ideally be time served in an engineering related field with a demonstrable background in additive manufacturing.

Candidates will be required to travel to sites across the UK; therefore, a Full UK Clean UK driving license is required. Work may also be required overseas; therefore, a UK Passport will also be needed.

Hours - Monday - Friday 37.5 hours basic + all OT Paid at premium rates.

Role Description

1. Serve as the technical point of contact with UK customers and to support sales efforts, from initial contact through project execution.
2. Act as the technical liaison between the sales, application engineer and product development teams.
3. Identify customer intelligence including product requirements, decision criteria, roadblocks, timeline, budget, and competition.
4. Review, influence and challenge current solutions.
5. Generate reports based on the analysis of customers' needs and provide feedback for improvements to the team.
6. Provide Technical Customer Service, assist customers with onboarding of the company's product or service.

Qualifications / Skills

1. Qualified in a related engineering field.
2. Demonstrable experience working within a sales/ applications engineering role with the additive manufacturing sector.
3. Strong knowledge of Additive Manufacturing / 3D Printing.
4. Strong Communication skills.
