A local government authority in Paisley is seeking an Additional Support Needs Assistant to support young people with additional needs in various settings. The role requires experience in working with children and strong literacy and numeracy skills. The position is temporary for up to 12 months, pending funding, and successful candidates must undergo a Disclosure Scotland check.
As an Additional Support Needs Assistant, you will be committed to working with young people/pupils with Additional Support Needs and be deployed to support young people within schools and other establishments across Renfrewshire.
Whilst responsible to the head teacher/head of establishment, you will work under the direction of and in partnership with nominated class teachers.
It is essential that you have experience of working with and/or caring for Pre 5, Primary or Secondary age children, together with demonstrable literacy, numeracy skills and experience of ICT equipment and associated software packages.
Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 12 months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
