Job summary

Renfrewshire Council is seeking an Additional Support Needs Assistant (Temporary) to support pupils with ASN across Renfrewshire schools. The role is term-time, part-time and temporary in nature, with deployment to various establishments.

Ideal candidates will have experience with Pre-5 to secondary age children, strong literacy and numeracy, and familiarity with ICT equipment and software packages. A Disclosure Scotland check will be required as part of the recruitment process.

Additional Support Needs Assistant (Temporary)

As an Additional Support Needs Assistant, you will be committed to working with

young people/pupils with Additional Support Needs and be deployed to support

young people within schools and other establishments across Renfrewshire.

Whilst responsible to the head teacher/head of establishment, you will work under

the direction of and in partnership with nominated class teachers.

It is essential that you have experience of working with and/or caring for Pre 5,

Primary or Secondary age children, together with demonstrable literacy, numeracy

skills and experience of ICT equipment and associated software packages.

Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 12

Months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
