Additional Support Needs (ASN) Service Manager, Western Isles (9584)
35 hours per week, Permanent post
£68,814 per annum, inclusive of £2,742 Distant Islands Allowance per annum
The purpose of this post is to manage the provision for pupils with Additional Support Needs (ASN) across the Western Isles in line with the Statutory duties of local authorities under the Additional Support for Learning Act (2004).
Perform such tasks as the Chief Officer shall direct, having reasonable regard to overall workload, in relation to the duties and responsibilities listed below, as appropriate to the strategic direction of ASN policy and practice across all schools within the authority. The post may also include class/pupil teaching commitment.
Outline of ASN Service Manager/Principal Teacher duties
It is essential you hold a Diploma in Inclusive Practice (or equivalent).
You must have several years’ mainstream teaching experience including experience at a promoted teaching level.
A full current UK driving licence is essential.
