This inclusive and supportive school in Bridgend educates pupils aged 3– 19 with a wide range of ALN needs, including:
Social, Emotional, and Mental Health ( SEMH) challenges
Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties ( PMLD)
With class sizes kept small ( typically 8– 10 pupils), teachers deliver the curriculum through a multi- sensory, creative approach tailored to each learner’s needs.
As an Additional Learning Needs Teacher, you’ll plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support and inspire learners with complex needs. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team to promote inclusive education and positive outcomes for every child.
Responsibilities include:
Planning inclusive lessons that meet diverse learning needs
Managing classroom behaviour effectively and empathetically
Collaborating with teaching assistants and therapists
Adapting teaching strategies to support individual Education Plans ( IEPs)
Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS)
Passion for working with ALN / SEN pupils
Experience in special education ( preferred but not essential)
Ability to differentiate content for various learning styles
Resilience, creativity, and a commitment to inclusive teaching
Ongoing Professional Development – Access to ALN- specific training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
