Salary: Unaccredited £27,810 – £36,050 per year; Accredited £39,140 – £45,320 per year.

Description

Priory Horizon House is seeking an experienced Addictions Therapist to join our full‑time team of 37.5 hours per week. In this role you will work within a non‑medical, therapy‑led addiction programme called Flourish. You will support individuals who do not require medical detox but need structured therapy, community connection, and practical tools for sustainable recovery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence‑based therapeutic interventions for individuals experiencing substance and behavioural addictions, including one‑to‑one and group therapy sessions.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and risk assessments, developing and reviewing personalised treatment and recovery plans.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and relapse prevention groups to help clients build coping strategies and maintain long‑term recovery.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic, person‑centred approach to treatment and care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to a safe, supportive, and recovery‑focused therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

Applicants should hold a relevant professional qualification and be registered or accredited with a recognised professional body such as the HCPC, BACP, BABCP, or UKCP. You must have significant experience working within addiction and substance misuse services, strong knowledge of recovery models, relapse prevention, and trauma‑informed care, and be confident delivering individual and group therapy interventions for clients with complex needs. Strong communication, risk management, and collaborative skills are essential.
