Salary: GBP 24,000 per annum

Are you passionate about supporting individuals through recovery and committed to making a lasting difference? Join the dedicated Counselling Team at Clouds House, where you'll be part of a respected and structured therapeutic community helping clients begin their recovery journey.

As an Addictions Counsellor, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver our intensive, structured treatment programme. This role combines hands-on therapeutic delivery with continued professional development and reflective practice.

Please note the working hours for this role are 9:00 to 17:00, Monday to Sunday. It is a 35-hour per week contract with the expectation that two weekend days per month are covered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate interpersonal group therapy and 12-step study groups
  • Deliver psychoeducational workshops and individual case management sessions
  • Build strong, recovery-focused therapeutic alliances
  • Share clinical insights with the wider team to ensure safe, coordinated client care
  • Maintain professional standards in line with clinical and regulatory guidelines
Ideal Candidate
  • We are looking for an individual with the skills, knowledge, and experience outlined below
  • Knowledge of addiction and its impact
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn new systems, including electronic record management systems
  • Experience working with distressed individuals, listening to their needs, and communicating respectfully and clearly
  • Experience thinking creatively with the team to create meaningful outcomes for clients and families
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
