Job description

We are seeking a part-time project coordinator to support the delivery of the ADAPTREE project. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a major new interdisciplinary project, as part of a UKRI-funded programme of research to improve the UK’s preparedness for epidemic threats. The postholder will play an integral part in developing a Knowledge Exchange and Impact plan and carrying out a stakeholder mapping exercise, as well in organising regular project and Advisory Board meetings and liaising with project team members and external project partners, to ensure successful project delivery. The role will also involve contributing to project knowledge exchange and dissemination activities, such as helping to draft press releases. You will join a vibrant and supportive interdisciplinary project team and have the opportunity to work closely with researchers across six collaborating organisations.

We are seeking candidates who are educated to degree level and with experience of successfully coordinating a knowledge exchange and dissemination work package, or other relevant package of activities, within a large research project. Our ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. Strong IT skills and the ability to work independently when required are also essential. Experience in working across different academic disciplines, and with science communication, is desirable.

This role is for two days per week, but we may be flexible to other part‑time working patterns, which can be discussed at the interview stage.

The ideal start date is 4th January 2027; the project end date is 12th November 2030, with the possibility of an extension until January 2031.

Interviews are expected to be held on 23rd November.
