Job description

A warm, professional family based in Geneva is seeking a kind, reliable, and experienced ad-hoc travel nanny/chaperone to support their 6-year-old son (turning 7 in October) during his visits. B6 lives full-time on the Isle of Wight and spends approximately 10 weeks per year with his father in Geneva, with all dates legally agreed and confirmed well in advance.

This is a long-term position on retainer, ideal for a nanny looking to build a meaningful, consistent relationship with one child over time.
You will travel with or meet B6 during his visits and provide full nanny care while he's in Switzerland. The family is looking for someone who is gentle, firm but fair, and understands the emotional nuances of co-parenting and transitions between homes.
B6 is active, loves football, LEGO, swimming, and anything outdoorsy. He's a lovely, curious boy who can sometimes test boundaries - a confident, warm approach with clear consistency is essential.

Duties Include:

• Providing sole charge care of B6 during his stays with the family
• Supporting routines, organising age-appropriate activities
• Acting as a positive, supportive presence through transitions
• Liaising with the family for smooth handovers and ongoing consistency

Please note:

• There is a housekeeper/cook employed, so no major cleaning or cooking duties are required. The child's related belongings and room are expected to be kept tidy, and occasional simple cooking might be needed.
• All travel expenses will be covered when accompanying B6
• Retainer offered to ensure long-term commitment and availability

Candidate Requirements:

• UK or EU passport (for travel purposes)
• UK based nannies only, flights from Gatwick or Heathrow
• Strong childcare background with experience in emotional regulation and boundaries
