Job summary

ICTS (UK) Limited is seeking an experienced Security Officer to safeguard people and premises at prestigious client sites in the Tooting area. The role focuses on access control, patrols and rapid response with a strong customer service mindset.

A valid SIA DS or SG license and five years of checkable history are essential, with full training and uniform provided. The position is ad hoc, covering annual leave and absence; shifts are typically 12 hours and may vary across Monday–Sunday, requiring

Qualifications

• Substantial experience as a Corporate Security Officer.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service, teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports.
• IT and administration skills including MS Outlook, Word & Excel.
• Professional appearance and demeanour.
• Willingness to undertake development training.
• An SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license.
• Five years' checkable history and references.
• To pass a criminal records check (CRC) to the required standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage access control for buildings and car-parks for employees, visitors and contractors.
• Patrol buildings, car parks and grounds to deter and detect problems.
• Respond to customer requests and queries.
• Check and challenge ID passes with a professional and friendly approach.
• Deactivate and activate alarms.
• Unlock/lock buildings, rooms, external barriers and gates to prevent unauthorised access.
• Identify and report Health & Safety issues and carry out first aid if necessary.
• Maintain incident records using paper and computer-based systems.
