Job summary

Mitie in Glasgow is seeking a Security Officer on an ad-hoc basis to cover Glasgow and surrounding areas within a 30 mile radius. The role requires night shifts with dayshift options, and you must have a driving licence and access to your own vehicle to reach multiple locations.

Primary duties include protecting sites during contractor work, ensuring safety, and maintaining compliance with Assignment Instructions and UK law. Ongoing training and licence renewals are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Must obtain front-line licence in Security Guarding or Door Supervision.
• CCTV PSS SIA Licence is required.
• Must have access to own vehicle due to multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Protect property, people and assets per Assignment Instructions.
• Meet KPIs / SLAs to aid contract retention.
• Undertake additional training for self-development.
• Ensure compliance with policies and UK law.
• Complete on-site tasks per Assignment Instructions.
• Renew licences 16 weeks before expiry.
• Report hazards/incidents and contact emergency services when needed.
