Job description

We are currently recruiting for Ad-Hoc Class 1 Drivers across Bristol, Avonmouth and Portbury.

The position of Class 1 Day Driver involves:

1. Delivering to retail stores on curtain side and box trailers on single and double deck trailers.
2. Collecting multiple containers from port for delivery to distribution centre.
3. Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers’ expectations.

Essential skills required for Class 1 Day Driver:

1. Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
2. Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
3. Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
4. Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
5. Working to deadlines.
6. Confident, polite and a team player.
7. Good geographical knowledge.
8. Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.
