Purpose of the role

As ACUVUE Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in transforming patient care by empowering optometrists and optical retailers to grow with the innovative ACUVUE portfolio. Through face-to-face interactions and strategic engagement, you’ll build strong business relationships with independent opticians, regional chains, and national retailers, driving revenue growth and product adoption. Leveraging industry-leading tools, insights, and your passion for eye care, you’ll deliver tailored clinical and commercial solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers and patients. With a focus on achieving ambitious business goals, exceeding sales targets, and continuous personal development, you’ll thrive as part of a market-leading team dedicated to innovation, excellence, and transforming lives.

What to expect:
  • Effective territory planning and preparation, using all available sales and share data to plan and execute journey plans to capitalize on business growth opportunities across all categories, channels, and customer segments.
  • Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date product and clinical knowledge of the ACUVUE portfolio, undertaking and passing regular clinical and selling skills assessments.
  • Convince business decision-makers and eye care practitioners of the clinical and commercial superiority of the ACUVUE range, encouraging proactive promotion and prescribing of the brand.
  • Take responsibility for overall account management of all customers in the territory, understanding customer needs, resolving complaints/queries, and building long-term partnerships.
  • Manage and monitor sales performance of all customers weekly, monthly, cyclically, and annually to meet business goals.
  • Implement marketing and category initiatives throughout the customer base, including launching new products and services.
  • Identify and partner with key customers for joint activities and initiatives to drive mutual growth, evaluating customer activity within budget.
  • Follow the company ethos of maximizing customer experience to create promoters of J&J Vision Care and the ACUVUE Brand.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, marketplace, customers, and competitors, providing relevant information to the wider organization.
  • Attend regional, national, and European sales meetings and internal events as required.
  • Represent J&J Vision Care at clinical and educational conferences and customer meetings, including evenings and weekends.

  • Experience in the optical industry.
  • Degree or equivalent, preferably in business or science, with relevant optical qualifications.
