Job summary

The Acute Therapies Lead ( Occupational Therapy) is a key role in the leadership and development of the teams providing assessment and rehabilitation and supporting flow within the acute trust, and this role is an exciting opportunity to be able to influence and support service development and improvement for this friendly and motivated team. The Acute Therapy services are undergoing a period of unprecedented transformation and we are looking for an exceptional individual to support excellence in clinical practice and the evolution of a exemplar modern service.

Main duties of the job

To lead the occupational therapy workforce focused on the management of complex patients within the GWH bed base and beyond, ensuring efficient and effective delivery that promotes optimal patient recovery and supports the Trust operational flow and the maintenance of a safe site

To work collaboratively to support the further development of all services within the Trust and those organisations that form our wider health and social care networks to ensure an integrated system approach where learning, improvement and success are shared

To be one of the leading clinicians in the acute therapy services, providing specialist clinical input to an advanced level, displaying considerable knowledge, skills and experience within their chosen specialty and providing leadership to the teams within their portfolio.
