Job summary

HealthJobs Ltd in Harrogate is seeking a confident Healthcare Support Worker to deliver outstanding care in an acute male ward. You’ll work 38.5 hours a week on 11-hour shifts at Cygnet Hospital Harrogate, joining a long-established mental health service with a full MDT.

Starting pay rate is £13.15 per/hr, rising to £13.45 after six months and £13.70 after 18 months, with apprenticeship schemes, overtime opportunities, regular coaching and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• DBS check required
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach

Responsibilities

• Support management and team in day-to-day running of the service
• Ensure duties are allocated safely and effectively
• Provide enhanced care with a flexible learning approach
• Offer physical and emotional support to service users
• Learn individuals' needs and provide appropriate help
• Assist with medical and welfare needs and report as required
• Safeguard service users
• Maintain a safe and clean environment
