Job summary

You will perform urgent assessments for individuals with acute mental health concerns and explore robust home treatment options as alternatives to hospital admission.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration as a mental health nurse.
• Experience delivering crisis assessments in community settings.
• Understanding of the Mental Health Act and related ethics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct urgent mental health assessments in the community.
• Provide safe, effective home treatment as an alternative to admission.
• Collaborate with MDT to facilitate early discharges from hospital.
• Maintain high-quality documentation and record keeping.
• Apply Mental Health Act where appropriate and manage risk.
• Support carers and service users throughout recovery journey.
