Job description

Acute Care Services Mental Health Staff Nurse, RGN and/or RNLD

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Mental Health Nurse, General Nurse, or Learning Disability Nurse to work as part of the Multi-disciplinary Team on St Non Ward, Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest.

The role involves assessing, planning, and delivering excellent care for individuals with Mental Health needs on a 15-bedded Older Adult Acute Admission Ward.

Full and part-time hours will be considered.

Main duties of the job

You will work a shift pattern, including night duties, to support patients' physical, psychological, and social needs across a 24/7 period. You will lead in assessments and deliver appropriate, skilled interventions.

Proficiency in Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally encouraged to apply.

Interviews are scheduled for 10/06/2025.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
  • Registered General Nurse, Registered Mental Health Nurse, and/or Registered Learning Disability Nurse
  • Sound knowledge of clinical issues within your area of practice
Experience
  • Experience working with individuals with long-term mental health needs and challenging behaviors or high risk of violence
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and mandatory training
  • Knowledge of local area and accessible facilities for clients
Language Skills
  • Welsh Speaker (Level 1)

Salary ranges from £30,420 to £37,030 per annum (pro-rata if part-time).
