Job summary

Sammons Group seeks an Actuarial Team Manager in the West Midlands to lead a team of actuarial professionals advising small and medium-sized defined benefit pension schemes. The role focuses on delivering high-quality actuarial services and shaping client outcomes from day one.

You will guide technical work, develop strategies for pension schemes, and collaborate with clients to drive process improvements within a growing organisation.

Qualifications

• Current Scheme Actuary Practicing Certificate.
• Proven experience managing a portfolio of Scheme Actuary appointments.
• Broad knowledge of DB pension schemes and regulatory frameworks (tPR, PPF, FAS).

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of actuarial consultants, ensuring best practice and high-quality deliverables.
• Enhance processes and procedures across client engagements.
• Develop pensions strategies for corporate, public, and not-for-profit organisations.
• Work on the technical aspects of projects, build and maintain client relationships, and mentor colleagues.
• Assist with delivery of actuarial services as needed.
