Job description

Working within the Delegated Authority (DA) Pricing team as a team lead for the SME portfolios.

  • Location: London/ Hybrid working
  • Type: Permanent

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

  1. Pricing strategy – formulating and executing overall strategy for the DA pricing team in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring the team is set up for success in both the short and longer term.
  2. Pricing analysis – instigating and overseeing high-quality pricing analyses, working with their DA partners on model improvements and enhancing the quality of their pricing.
  3. Portfolio monitoring – developing their portfolio monitoring framework, ensuring outputs that can enable timely and accurate tracking of performance, and extensive insight to improve profitability.
  4. New deals – working collaboratively with other functions to diligently assess and communicate the performance of potential new DA portfolios, and ensuring a robust onboarding process when deals are agreed.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Extensive experience in Actuarial roles, preferably with significant exposure to delegated authority business.
  2. Experience collaborating with a wide range of senior stakeholders.
  3. Excellent market, risk and business awareness.
  4. Advanced knowledge of SME insurance products would be an advantage.
  5. Highly numerate and analytical, with strong technical ability & financial awareness.
