Job summary

Lemonade is seeking a technically savvy Actuarial Pricing Associate to join our UK team, blending actuarial expertise with predictive modeling and AI to price European products competitively. You will turn trading data into actionable pricing changes, collaborate with Data Science, Product and Underwriting, and own pricing initiatives from idea to launch while staying ahead of regulatory guidelines.

This role requires 3–5 years of UK personal lines pricing experience, strong SQL and Python or R

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of UK personal lines pricing experience
• Strong understanding of UK insurance market and price comparison websites
• Track record of turning analysis into pricing changes with measurable results
• Proficient SQL and Python or R, with ability to explore data independently
• Commercial judgement and curiosity; connect numbers to market realities
• Clear communication and willingness to share UK market knowledge across the business
• Experience with UK pricing/insurance regulations
• Interest in learning AI and applying it to pricing
• UK home pricing experience a strong plus; actuarial qualifications and demand modelling/optimisation a bonus
• Willingness to work from our London office
• Commitment to FIA or FFA qualifications
• Master’s degree in mathematics/econometrics/actuarial science preferred

Responsibilities

• Shape our UK pricing strategy balancing profitable growth and customer outcomes
• Turn trading data into action by analyzing conversion, retention, risk mix and profitability
• Understand competitor pricing and price comparison insights to improve pricing
• Own pricing changes from idea to launch and assess live impact
• Collaborate with Data Science, Product and Underwriting to blend models with commercial insight
• Share UK market knowledge across the global team and challenge assumptions
• Build faster, smarter pricing engines through automation and AI
• Stay updated on regulatory requirements and ongoing actuarial education
