Job summary

Aon invites students seeking a year-in-industry placement to join our Launch Development Programme in actuarial roles. You will develop practical actuarial and advisory skills, applying quantitative techniques to help clients understand, price and manage financial risk.

You will gain hands-on experience and learn how AI supports routine calculations while developing judgement and communication. Our Wealth Solutions: Retirement teams work with trustees and sponsors to manage long-term pension

Qualifications

• On track to achieve a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in maths, actuarial science, or other highly numerical degree.
• Have achieved an A-grade or above in Maths A-level, A-grade in Maths Scottish higher or international equivalent.
• To have or are looking to build practical skills in Python, SQL, VBA or cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Actuarial and analytical tasks such as building and running models for pension scheme analysis with guidance.
• Funding and accounting valuations, projections, benefit calculations and data reconciliation.
