Job Title: Actuarial Manager/Senior Analyst

Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Full Time, Job Share option available

Salary Range: £53,600-£100,800

Location: London/Eastleigh - Hybrid

Closing Date: Thursday 12th June

Actuarial Manager:

The Ageas UK Actuarial Department is looking to hire an experienced Reserving Actuary to play a key role in the Reserving Team. The team is undergoing exciting transformation projects to modernise our processes. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and managing projects. Interest in coding, particularly developing processes in Python, is preferable.

Team Responsibilities:
  • Oversee quarterly and monthly reserve reviews, prepare detailed reports, and conduct claims-related analyses.
  • Help steer the department's transformation projects and strategic priorities.
  • Lead claims analysis to generate actionable insights and communicate results.
  • Review team members' work and contribute to effective communication of results.
  • Opportunity for line management of analysts, providing feedback and supporting staff development.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Extensive knowledge of general insurance and actuarial principles, including reserving and pricing.
  • Proactive and innovative project management skills, including delegation and prioritisation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting technical reports to non-actuarial stakeholders.
  • Management and mentoring skills, including setting a good example and managing performance.
