Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is offering an eight-week actuarial internship in Edinburgh. You will join one of the UK’s largest actuarial teams, work on real projects, and learn from experienced actuaries.

The scheme combines hands-on modelling with data-driven insights to support strategic decisions and risk management. Candidates should be in their penultimate year, enjoy maths and problem solving, and be prepared to explain their thinking as well as the analysis.

Qualifications

• Be in your penultimate year at university and demonstrate sound knowledge and technical skills aligned to the role.
• Hybrid working with at least two days a week in the office in Edinburgh.
• Applications open 3 November and close 31 January.

Responsibilities

• Work on real actuarial projects and use pricing techniques to calculate premiums.
• Analyze reserves and capital needed to cover future claims.
• Develop and test actuarial models using Excel, VBA, Python, R, Prophet or Power BI.
• Turn complex data into clear stories for stakeholders.
