Job summary

Isio is recruiting a Graduate Analyst for Actuarial and Consulting in Belfast. You’ll learn to apply actuarial concepts to value pensions, build financial models and assess risks for client schemes. The role supports studying towards IFoA qualification and offers structured development in a permanent position.

You don’t need prior pensions or actuarial experience—your potential and willingness to learn matter. The role is hybrid with initial in-office attendance and strong study support.

Qualifications

• Degree holder or higher with strong numerical ability.
• Math at A level grade B or higher if your degree is non-numerical.
• Strong mathematical skills and interest in financial concepts.

Responsibilities

• Apply actuarial concepts to calculate the value of pension and other benefits for employers and trustees.
• Build financial models and carry out risk analysis to help clients understand future pension commitments and key risks.
• Support advice on pension strategy, day-to-day risk management and longer-term objectives.
• Help clients understand accounting, tax and legislative changes affecting pension schemes.
• Prepare clear analysis and communications for colleagues and clients.
• Attend client meetings, explain the team’s work and follow up actions.
• Contribute to proposals for new business and share ideas to improve processes.
