Job summary

The Emerald Group is seeking an Actuarial Associate Partner to lead the Retirement Consulting group, advising Defined Benefit pension schemes. This role involves managing trustees and sponsors across a broad client base after a merger of advisory arms into a single team.

You will work with Senior Partners and Partners on major client relationships, lead client development, and contribute to market presence in local communities while demonstrating strong technical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with post-qualification experience.
• Retirement/pensions consulting experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise pension scheme trustees and sponsors on pensions issues to meet obligations and objectives.
• Lead large client relationships and co-develop them with Senior Partners and Partners.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Professional Trustees and prospective clients; establish presence in local markets.
• Lead discussions with trustees and sponsors, providing strategic advice and ensuring high-quality engagement.
• Support and mentor colleagues; work effectively within diverse teams.
