An established industry player is seeking a motivated Actuarial Associate to join their dynamic team. This role involves overseeing a range of actuarial tasks and providing technical input across various functions, including Risk & Capital, Reporting, Systems, and Pricing. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in actuarial principles, with at least 2-3 years of experience and a minimum of 6 examination passes. Qualifications

  • Student actuary with 2-3 years of experience and 6 actuarial exam passes.
  • Relevant degree with a minimum grade of 2:1 preferred.

Job description

Oversee and perform a range of Actuarial tasks within the Company and provide technical Actuarial input and explanation as necessary.

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

  • Actuarial Associates are expected to move between functions to develop competence in the different Actuarial activities carried out within the Company. The 4 principal activities are Actuarial Risk & Capital, Actuarial Reporting, Actuarial Systems, and Pricing.
  • To have a good level of knowledge and understanding and be able to play a lead role in at least one of the Actuarial activities.
  • To actively develop knowledge and understanding in the remaining Actuarial activities.
  • To carry out Actuarial investigations & analyses and lead project teams as required.
  • Student actuary with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience of actuarial work and 6 actuarial examination passes.
  • Preferably possess a relevant degree with a grade of 2:1 or above.
  • Detailed understanding of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excel software, R, VBA, PowerBI, Actuarial specific software & Python desirable.
  • Highly numerate with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
