The Actuarial team uses expertise in financial, risk, and capital modelling to help clients manage the complexities that are inherent in business. We combine technical and commercial expertise to provide insight, assurance, and enable effective decision-making by business leaders. You will serve regional, national, and international companies of all sizes and structures, collaborating with actuarial and non-actuarial team members for each engagement.

About the role

We are seeking a talented Actuarial Analyst to join our newly formed Life Actuarial team in Edinburgh. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of projects across the Actuarial and wider Financial Services Consulting Teams, contributing value to a rapidly growing UK business. Responsibilities include supporting Partners and Directors, participating in external audits during the financial reporting season, and engaging in a range of actuarial and insurance consultancy work. Desired experience includes:

• Good knowledge of financial reporting methodologies such as IFRS, Solvency II, UK GAAP.
• Supporting the development of new ideas for business growth and retention.
• Developing project management skills, stakeholder management, and ensuring timely delivery.
• Familiarity with Technical Actuarial Standards.
• Mentoring and coaching actuarial trainees and technicians.
• Fostering an inclusive work environment conducive to learning and growth.
