Are you a motivated and talented actuary seeking an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial reporting and in-force management of life and health business across various markets? We are looking for an individual to join our Life and Health (L&H) valuation team in London, focusing on the Continental Europe (CE) portfolio. About The Role

Key responsibilities include:

1. Supporting the quarterly valuation process, assisting in reserve and income statement submissions for IFRS17 and Swiss statutory reporting. This involves analysis, explanation, and commentary on reserves and P&L movements.
2. Reviewing and consolidating valuation results, ensuring clear communication and documentation of findings.
3. Contributing to management activities such as recaptures and treaty changes, proactively managing the in-force portfolio from an actuarial perspective.
4. Collaborating with teams across Finance, Products, and Client Markets, effectively communicating results and insights to stakeholders.
5. Assisting in organizing tasks and workflows, learning from and supporting more experienced team members.

About The Team

The CE actuarial valuation team, part of L&H Actuarial and Risk Management, comprises around 35 members based in Zurich, Bangalore, and London. The team covers all L&H business in Continental European markets, working with diverse internal stakeholders. Our objectives include delivering transparent quarterly financial results, actively managing the in-force portfolio to maintain L&H ROE, and improving operational efficiency through system and process enhancements.

About You

• Advanced actuarial student (study package provided).
• Some experience in L&H valuation, pricing, or related actuarial work in reinsurance, primary insurance, or consultancy, preferably at an early-career or entry level.
• Knowledge of at least one reporting regime: IFRS 17, EV, or MCEV.
• Proficient in MS Excel; knowledge of MS Power BI and/or database software is a plus.
• Strong teamwork skills, able to build relationships across disciplines and work effectively across the L&H value chain.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining findings clearly and contributing to discussions with stakeholders under guidance.
