Job description

Activity Leader for Older People

We have a thriving and lovely Wednesday Social afternoon with 30 older ladies and gents, who do everything like quizzes, board games, singing, bingo, crafting, having guest speakers, lots of variety - and of course eating cake and drinking coffee!

We're looking for a volunteer who can come and be the Activity Leader for the group. You will be:

  • Setting up and packing away the activities
  • Explaining and leading the activities
  • Keeping an eye on the time and moving on activities as needed
  • Drawing the weekly raffle

We will organise the activities for you, and as your confidence builds you can take this over if you wanted to.

The hot drinks and cakes are organised, set up and packed away by volunteers already in place.

The Wednesday Social Afternoon takes place every Wednesday, 1pm-3pm, and the volunteering time would be 12.30pm-3.30pm. We have a lovely Volunteer Coordinator, who will look after you, be your point of contact, and will do your induction and supervisions.

Bedhampton Community Centre is a centre without barriers - we want you to develop and grow however you want to while supporting our lovely centre users.
