The Activities Coordinator must oversee a number of key responsibilities, including:
The Activities Coordinator will also be responsible for managing and overseeing a number of administrative functions for the department, including relevant documentation to medical records. Additionally, the Activities Coordinator will be expected to participate in ongoing professional development and training to ensure full compliance with industry-wide protocol as well as to keep Senior LIFE’s activities program highly competitive in the marketplace.
Candidates should have a minimum of two years’ experience in a social or recreational role that specifically centers on the elderly community. Strong communication skills, as well as an ability to thrive and inspire in a team-based setting, are key to this role. An ability to organize, prioritize, and effectively implement new practices and procedures, and a desire to effect positive change within an underserved community are also essential characteristics Senior LIFE looks for in this role.
Since some travel to members' homes is required, a valid driver’s license and reliable mode of transportation are also mandatory.
