Job summary

The Fairlie Healthcare Group is seeking an Activity Coordinator on a fixed-term 9-month contract (mat cover) at Woodstown House, Banstead. You will plan and deliver a range of recreational and therapeutic activities to promote wellbeing, independence and quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

• Passionate about supporting and caring for others.

• Previous experience working in the UK is required.
• Willing to undertake further training and development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide a variety of meaningful leisure and recreational activities for patients with neurological disabilities and conditions.
• Create engaging activities such as arts and crafts, gardening, animal activities, sports, games, dance and movement, drama and music.
• Organise and support community outings, helping patients stay connected with their local community and enjoy new experiences.
• Support patients to participate in activities that promote their physical, mental and emotional well-being, confidence and independence.
• Encourage patients to develop their interests and abilities through meaningful and enjoyable activities.
• Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure activities are meaningful and appropriate to individual needs.

About The Role

We are looking for a passionate, creative and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our team.

As an Activity Coordinator, you will play an important role in creating meaningful and enjoyable experiences for our patients. You will plan and deliver a wide range of recreational, leisure and therapeutic activities that promote well-being, confidence, independence and quality of life.

What will I be doing?

You will:

• Plan and provide a variety of meaningful leisure and recreational activities for patients with neurological disabilities and conditions.
• Create engaging activities such as arts and crafts, gardening, animal activities, sports, games, dance and movement, drama and music.
• Organise and support community outings, helping patients stay connected with their local community and enjoy new experiences.
• Support patients to participate in activities that promote their physical, mental and emotional well-being, confidence and independence.
• Encourage patients to develop their interests and abilities through meaningful and enjoyable activities.
• Support patients in accessing community resources and services, helping them to become more integrated within their local community.
• Work closely with our wider multidisciplinary team, including nurses, therapists and other care professionals, to ensure activities are meaningful and appropriate to individual needs.
• Follow the direction and guidance of senior staff, managers and therapists while contributing positively to the wider care team.
