The NHS is seeking an Activity Coordinator for the Oxford Clinic to deliver therapeutic activities for service users. This part-time role involves organizing group and individual sessions tailored to enhance mental health and encourage social interaction, while working closely with a supportive multi-disciplinary team.
This role includes an RSU allowance of £1,446 per annum on top of your salaryWe are recruiting for an Activity Coordinator to work at Kennet Ward based at our Littlemore Mental Health Centre in Oxford for15 hours per week. You'll deliver a wide range of therapeutic, wellbeing, and social activities for service users.
Kennet Ward is a 16- bed Medium secure ward based in the Oxford Clinic offering services to people suffering from enduring mental illness. You'll be joining our supportive team to provide activities for our service users.
You'll organise and facilitate group and individual activities tailored to service users' needs, helping to build confidence, develop skills, and encourage social interaction. You'll also collaborate with the wider multi-disciplinary team, and work alongside Activity Coordinators already working on the unit to ensure activities are inclusive, meaningful, and support each patient's recovery journey.
Strong communication, IT and organisational skills are essential, with the ability to adapt activities to suit different needs. We have established very effective ways of working with the patients to help them identify and reach their goals whilst keeping them safe and supporting them onwards to a new life in the community.

This role will involve working a day at weekends and some evening work between the hours of 07:00 & 21:00. It is mandatory for all staff to complete PEACE training and other training directly related to the job. Please refer to the job description attached for a comprehensive list of duties.
