Job Opportunity: Activity Coordinator at ExtraCare Charitable Trust

The ExtraCare Charitable Trust is recruiting for a part-time, permanent Activity Coordinator based at our Solihull Retirement Village in Shirley, Birmingham.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Activities Coordinator to join our friendly team and support our mission of “better lives for older people.”

Position Details:
  • Role: Activity Coordinator
  • Hours: 27.5 hours per week (flexibility needed for evenings & weekends)
  • Contract: Permanent, Part-Time
  • Hourly Rate: £12.56 per hour (£18,009 pa, pro-rata of FTE)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement a varied, exciting activity plan for residents
  • Produce and distribute activity programmes
  • Encourage residents to lead their own interest groups and sessions
  • Coordinate escorts for residents when needed
  • Assist the Lifestyle Manager with planning and organizing events
  • Identify upcoming events and news related to the village and liaise with the PR team
