A healthcare provider in Chertsey is seeking an Activities Coordinator to enhance the wellbeing of individuals in their care. You will organize and lead recreational activities, adapt to participant needs, and promote a positive environment. Ideal candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and experience in leisure activity facilitation. This position contributes significantly to patient care pathways.
As an Activities Coordinator on New Spenser Ward, you’ll help to create a stimulating environment that enables us to deliver exceptional all-round care and support for people who use our services. Your role would help to provide high quality, caring service that makes a positive and effective contribution to the care pathway of people admitted onto the wards in the acute phase of their illness.
This role is to complement the nursing and therapy teams in planning, designing, organising, and running leisure and meaningful engagement activities, considering the needs and interests of individual members. You will support, challenge, and enhance the psychological, spiritual, social, and emotional wellbeing of individuals.
We are the leading provider of health and social care services for people of all ages with mental ill-health and learning disabilities in Surrey and North East Hampshire. We also provide social care services for people with a learning disability in Croydon, ASD and ADHD assessment services in Hampshire, and actively work to improve mental wellbeing in the local community.
Surrey is a beautiful county just 30 minutes from Central London and the South Coast, with historic market towns, countryside, and excellent transport links, including Gatwick and Heathrow airports.
