Job description

Part-time position, 20 hours per week.

You must hold a full UK driving licence, as driving is essential for this role.

A night shift enhancement of £1.50 per hour applies from 8pm to 7am, Monday to Sunday (this does not apply to sleep-ins). A weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour is paid from 7am to 8pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Bradbury Wing, rated "Outstanding" by CQC, is a residential care home for 20 adults with physical disabilities, located in Jesmond, Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

About the role

As an Activities Worker, you will deliver a variety of engaging social and recreational activities, creating exciting opportunities for our residents. You will organise outings and events, using your creativity and passion to provide a range of options that make a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities we support.

This may include organising large-scale social events, finding common interests among smaller groups, or encouraging baking activities. Creativity and enthusiasm are key!

About you

No prior experience in activity work is required, but artistic flair, strong organisational skills, or an interest in arranging social activities are essential.

Experience working with and supporting people with disabilities is advantageous but not mandatory.
