You’ll lead on our vibrant Lifeskills programme – a series of engaging, supportive sessions designed to boost wellbeing and independence for people who have experienced homelessness. From fitness to creativity, from practical skills to social connection, your job is to make every session meaningful and empowering.
You'll coordinate and deliver sessions, recruit and support volunteers, build partnerships, and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. It’s a hands-on, people-focused role with real impact.

Purpose of the Post
The post requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds, including participants, volunteers and partners.
The successful candidate will work as part of the Homeless Services Team in the development and delivery of our activities and wellbeing programme, Lifeskills.
The Lifeskills programme offers structured support to people who have previously been, or are currently experiencing, homelessness, providing access to a range of sessions including activities that promote physical and mental wellbeing. The Lifeskills programme delivers a wide range of activity sessions, in various locations across Manchester. We have significant numbers attending some sessions, this generates a very busy working environment. The Lifeskills sessions offer a vibrant and engaging work environment, no two sessions are the same.
The post holder will work with colleagues to ensure that participants are assessed, supported and referred onto other programmes as appropriate.
The successful candidate will work with volunteers to facilitate the smooth running of the programme. They will also be responsible for the administration of volunteers, enquiries, bookings and other tasks linked to the work, as well as ensuring that relevant participant information is collected for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
The successful candidate will be required to attend all the weekly sessions to assist with the organisation and delivery, to collect information, case studies and complete monitoring forms, which will be used to inform the future planning of the project.
The post is a mix of practical involvement and administrative work and requires flexible working and adaptable thinking. Some evening and weekend working will be required as part of the role.
Lifeskills sessions will take place in various locations across Greater Manchester and so the ability to travel independently is essential.
