Do you have experience working as a care assistant? Creative and activities? or as a teaching assistant? Or similar roles where you enjoy being active and creative?

Could you provide a range of planned activities and ensure that resident interests and needs are met?

As the largest healthcare provider in Northern Ireland, we understand the importance of providing our residents with stimulating activities, entertainment, crafts, music therapy, hobbies, and interests across many forms.

About The Role

As an Activities Leader you will:

  • Use your creative talents to develop and implement ongoing activities plans for residents.
  • Assist in assessing residents' needs through meetings with residents, team members, and family members.
  • Support providing stimulation and exercise tailored to individual needs via a diverse activities programme including music, exercise, and arts & crafts.
  • Build relationships with residents and families to gather life story information and ensure care plans and activities are updated accordingly.
  • Spend individual time with residents, care staff, and relatives to create personalized activities reflecting their interests and hobbies.
  • Develop community links with local groups and organize trips and excursions to involve residents in activities outside the home.
  • Support the implementation of various initiatives and encourage team involvement.
  • Create and maintain records of activity engagement through digital and written methods.

Skills Needed

Previous experience in a care environment and planning/delivering structured activities are preferred.
