Do you have experience working as a care assistant, in creative activities, as a teaching assistant, or in similar roles where you enjoy being active and creative?

Could you provide a range of planned activities and ensure that resident interests and needs are met?

About The Role

As an Activities Leader, you will:

  • Use your creative talents to develop and implement ongoing activities plans for residents.
  • Assist in assessing residents' needs by meeting with them, team members, and family members.
  • Support providing stimulation and exercise tailored to individual needs through a diverse activities programme including music, exercise, and arts & crafts.
  • Build relationships with residents and families to gather life story information and develop personalized care plans and activities.
  • Spend individual time with residents, care staff, and relatives to create activities that reflect residents' interests and hobbies.
  • Help develop community links with local groups and organize trips and outings with various destinations and purposes to involve residents in activities outside the home.
  • Support the implementation of initiatives and encourage team involvement.
  • Assist in documenting and tracking activity engagement using digital and written methods.

A strong communicator with a genuine interest in promoting independence and lifestyle opportunities for the elderly is essential. Passion for offering high-quality services and making a difference is valued.

Skills Needed

Previous experience in a care environment and in planning and delivering structured activities is preferred.
