Barchester Healthcare is seeking an Activities Lead for a Barchester care home to create a stimulating environment and deliver exceptional all-round care and support for residents. You will be computer literate and work with the community engagement team to build links and showcase our home, while updating social media platforms.

You’ll design imaginative activities that suit diverse interests and abilities, and spend time getting to know residents and families to create tailored programmes

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Activities Lead at a Barchester care home, you’ll help to create a stimulating environment that enables us to deliver exceptional all-round care and support for our residents. You will becomputer literate and able to work closely with our community engagement team tocreate community links and showcase ourHome, you will also be responsible for updating the homessocial media platforms.Our ethos is all about celebrating life, so you’ll help to devise imaginative, fun and motivational activities that suit every interest and ability. An extremely rewarding role, part of your time as an Activities Coordinator will be spent getting to know our residents and their families before you create tailored activities programmes focused on maximising everyone’s wellbeing, independence and social engagement.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll need to be warm, empathetic and personable to join us as an Activities Lead. Your organisational skills and driven mind-set mean you always get things done and make things happen. Meanwhile, your infectious enthusiasm and creative approach will inspire our residents and staff to get involved in activities both within the home and in the local community. Any similar experience would be ideal, but it isn’t essential – especially because we’ll make sure you have the training you need to develop your skills and progress your career with us.
