Job summary

Earlsferry House Care Home, part of Belsize Healthcare, is seeking an Activities Coordinator on a contract basis to enhance daily life for residents through engaging, person-centred activities. You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs, including residents living with dementia.

This role offers training and support, with competitive hourly pay of £13.21, and involves both 19.25 and 38.5 hour

Qualifications

Creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
Genuine interest in supporting older people.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in activities or similar roles is beneficial; transferable skills from hospitality, events, childcare or community work encouraged.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities.
Build strong relationships to understand preferences and inclusivity for all residents, including those with dementia.
Work as part of the wider team to maintain a positive, stimulating environment.
Participate in training and development provided for the role.
