Job summary

Akari Care is seeking an Activities Coordinator to enrich the lives of residents in a compassionate care home in England. You will design and run diverse activities, encourage socialisation, and collaborate with the Home Manager and community teams to promote dignity and inclusion.

You will lead rolling and individual programmes, involve relatives and staff, and support fundraising activities while ensuring a safe, caring environment for all residents.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within similar environment
• Previous experience within similar type of role
• A caring nature with ability to give everyone a personal approach.
• Flexible and adaptable to changes at short notice.
• Work well under pressure without negative impact to those around you.
• Warm, approachable, and engaging persona.

Responsibilities

• Engage residents to socialise within the home.
• Plan and initiate rolling/individual activity programmes.
• Encourage participation from staff, relatives and friends.
• Accompany residents to offsite activities where possible.
• Support fundraising and budgeting for activities and outings.
