We’re looking for a dedicated and passionate Activities Coordinator specialising in dementia to bring joy, sunshine, and meaningful experiences to the lives of our residents every day.

With a deep understanding of dementia care and a genuine love for working with the older generation, we’re seeking someone who is creative, fun-loving, and highly organised. Caring for our residents is at the heart of what we do, and we believe enhancing their wellbeing goes far beyond the typical activities. Our goal is to create engaging, stimulating, and fulfilling days for our residents that are tailored to their unique preferences and needs.

What You’ll Do
  • Design Dementia-Friendly Activities: Develop monthly rolling programmes and one-to-one activities, specifically designed to cater to residents living with dementia, while fostering their interests and abilities.
  • Build Strong Connections: Take time to get to know each resident, building trust and understanding to ensure their individual preferences and care needs are met.
  • Encourage Social Engagement: Facilitate group activities and social events that promote interaction and enjoyment for all residents, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Promote Wellbeing: Help residents maintain their hobbies and explore new interests, enriching their quality of life.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities and resident participation to track engagement and outcomes.
What You’ll Bring
  • Specialised Dementia Experience: Knowledge of dementia care and experience in supporting residents with varying levels of cognitive abilities.
  • Event Planning Expertise: Proven ability to create and manage a diverse range of engaging activities and events.
  • Empathy and Creativity: A friendly, compassionate, and imaginative personality that shines through in your interactions with residents.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Strong organisational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with residents, families, and the wider care team.
  • Passion for Elderly Care: A genuine enthusiasm for enhancing the lives of older people, especially those living with dementia.
Why Join Us?

Our care home is part of the Care Concern Group, a family-owned care group operating close to 80 homes across the UK. We are passionate about creating exceptional environments for our residents and providing a supportive and fun workplace for our team.

If you have the creativity, warmth, and dedication to make a real difference in the lives of our residents, we’d love to hear from you.
