Job summary

Crystal Care Collection Limited in Greater London is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan and lead a varied programme of engaging activities for residents, building meaningful connections and life stories. You will work with staff, families and the community to create moments that matter and promote wellbeing.

The role offers a 24.5-hour week on a rolling rota, with occasional evenings. Pay is £14.57 per hour and includes induction, DBS check and ongoing training.

  • Flexible, proactive and able to adapt activities to meet changing needs and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise and lead a varied programme of activities for individuals and groups.
  • Build strong relationships with residents by exploring life histories, hobbies and preferences.
  • Develop partnerships with local schools, charities, churches and community groups to enhance the activity programme.
  • Arrange visits from entertainers and external organisations to bring exciting experiences into the home.
  • Encourage and support colleagues to deliver activities and continue programmes in your absence.
  • Record and evaluate activities using PCS and update care plans accordingly.
  • Champion the My Life Story and Resident of the Day initiatives.
  • Promote a resident-led culture by educating colleagues about preferences and backgrounds.
  • Gather photographs and stories for newsletters, noticeboards and social media with consent.
  • Share ideas at monthly social committee meetings.
  • Be flexible to support occasional evening or special events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with residents by exploring their life histories, hobbies and personal preferences.
  • Develop partnerships with local schools, charities, churches and community groups to enhance the activity programme.
  • Arrange visits from entertainers, performers and external organisations to bring exciting experiences into the home.
  • Encourage and support colleagues to deliver activities alongside you and confidently continue programmes in your absence.
  • Record and evaluate activities using PCS, updating care plans and activity records accurately.
  • Champion the My Life Story and Resident of the Day initiatives, ensuring life histories and social information are kept up to date.
  • Promote a resident-led culture by educating colleagues about individual preferences, backgrounds and life experiences.
  • Gather photographs and stories from activities to contribute to newsletters, noticeboards and social media, ensuring appropriate consent has been obtained.
  • Share ideas and best practice through monthly social committee meetings.
  • Be flexible to support occasional evening or special events where required.
About You

Working Pattern: 10:00am - 5:00pm Permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on followed by three consecutive shifts off Average 24.5 hours per week Flexibility to support occasional evening activities and events as required.

Pay: £14.57 per hour
